A great kit to improve the braking power and is a direct replacement for the stock calipers and carriers. Base Kit includes 2x Genuine Porsche Brembo Callipers and HEL Performance front braided lines. You can choose your choice of disc patterns and pads on the options list. AUDI RS3 BRAKE DISC UPGRADE The Audi RS3 comes with a fairly substantial 8-pot brake setup straight from the factory. Whilst the stock calliper works very well the same can’t be said for the discs or the factory specification pads that seem to perform best at lower temperatures or very light road use. The factory 370mm 'wavy' discs certainly look the part but the design flaw is that both discs are identical; when fitted, the cooling vanes in the right-hand disc face the wrong direction and do not offer any cooling benefit. The excessive heat this generates combined with the factory pad compound causes big issues with braking efficiency and longevity of the disc and pads. The Revo disc upgrade is designed to directly replace the stock discs and comes complete and ready to fit with left and right-handed, directional 380mm two-piece floating discs. Saving 1.2 Kg each side the disc not only weighs less than the OEM part but also features much larger, more efficient cooling veins individually designed for each side of the vehicle to ensure even braking performance, pad wear and cooling capability. This is a premium upgrade that should have come from the factory. As the Revo discs dissipate heat much more efficiently the factory pad compound works much better in real-world conditions, only when you’re using the vehicle on the track would we recommend considering a different pad altogether. Revo Floating Disc Construction Racers have long used floating disc technology, but the discs found on racecars move freely on the floating pin drive connecting the bell to the disc, causing noise. To eliminate the rattling race disc for our street car customers, we have engineered a unique noise-reducing methodology that eliminates noise but still allows for thermal expansion without running out of "float." Crescent Grooves Crescent grooves in the surface of our Alcon brake disc perform three basic functions: Increases initial friction between the disc and pads, producing more bite Continuously refreshes the brake pad surface by removing debris from the pad Prevents build up of gas from the phenolics within the pads Vane Design Our brakes use either 48 or 252 vanes, depending on application, to draw air from the center of the disc outward. These vanes work like a pump to move cool air through the center of the disc, taking the heat away from the disc and cooling it before the next heavy braking zone. Combining the highly advanced iron alloy with the efficient aerofoil vane design allows the disc to absorb large amounts of energy (heat), then eliminate heat quickly so that it is not transferred to the calipers, pads, and brake fluid, providing consistent stopping power over multiple applications for your vehicle. This front brake adaption kit allows the fitment of Audi TTRS 8J / Audi RS3 8P Calipers to VAG stock 340mm or 345mm brake discs (see below for required parts & part numbers). The caliper carriers are made from lightweight aluminium. These have steel thread inserts for strength along with a black anodised finish.
